There are 2 locations for your Output Styles folders: If you are using your library on more than one computer, and you need a style that wasn't included in the original installation, you will need to save that output style file to each computer separately. When you add a new output style to your library, it is saved to a folder on your computer. Select the style you want from the submenu if it's there.Open the Tools menu and go to Output Styles.The new style will appear in the Output styles box in the toolbar and your references will display in this style in the preview pane. Highlight this style and click Choose.Browse the list or use the quick search to locate the style you want.This opens a window with the full range of options. If the style you need is not listed, click Select Another Style.Your references will now display in this style in the preview pane. If the style you need is listed, select if from this menu.Click on the arrow beside this to open the menu. The default setting is in the Output Styles box is Select another style.Double click a reference to open the Summary/Edit panel on the right.Select a style in the Summary/Edit panel of a record Once they are added to your library, you can select them for use in EndNote and Word. EndNote comes with a large number of preloaded styles, but you can also add new styles, e.g. The referencing style you use is called an “Output style”.
